- 1 Onion
- 4-5 Tomatoes

- 1 pinch Red colour
- 1 tsp Kewra water
- Juice of 3 lemons
- 1/2 tsp Chilli powder
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric
- 1/2 tsp Garam masala powder
- 1 tsp Coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp Chilli flakes
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- 250 gms Chicken
- 1 cup Yoghurt
- 1/2 tsp Garlic
Instructions to make to make Red Chilli Biryani
- Soak rice for few hours.

- Slice the onion and tomatoes.


- Chop half the chillies and cut remaining chillies into 2 pieces length wise.

- Finely chop the coriander leaves.

- Heat oil in a pan.

- Add in onion and curry leaves.

- Fry till light golden.

- Add in chicken,garlic,chopped chillies,yoghurt,all the spices and half of tomatoes.

- Cook till chicken is tender and masala thickens.

- Boil the rice.

- Mix color and kewra together.

- Add coriander leaves,lemon and remaining tomatoes to the chicken.

- Cover the masala with rice.

- Heat little oil in a pan.

- Add in cumin,chilli flakes and slitted fresh red chillies.

- Pour this tarka and colour over rice.

- Cook covered on dum for 15 minutes.

- Serve hot.
