- 500 gms chicken with bones
- 2 onion π§ slices
- 2 cups basmati rice / Sela
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp chicken powder
- 1 tbsp garam masala
- 1 piece ginger chopped
- 3 green chilli
- 3 tbsp yogurt
- 1 tsp black pepper powder
- 1 tbsp zeera
- 4 &1/2 cup water
Steps to make to make Chicken Pulao in less oil
- Take a wok, add bay leaves & Add 1 tbsp ghee and the onions
- Check how less oil / ghee is used. Add chicken & green chilli
- Add zeera & fry chicken until colour changes. Add yogurt and do the bhonai of chicken.
- Add water. I am cooking 2 cups rice so I have add 5 cups of water because chicken has to be cook in broth. Cover it.
- Soak rice (sela/ Basmati) at least for 2 hours. When chicken is tender add soaked rice.

- Add garam masala & black pepper powder.

- Add vinegar, chicken powder & salt. Let it cook & cover it.
- Let it cook till water dries up & rice cooked 90%.

- Dissolve orange or yellow food colour with few drops of kewra essence in little milk and pour over rice & give DUM.
- Give dum 10 minutes on high flame & 10 minutes on low flame.
